Dairy plants operate with intensive CIP (Clean In Place) cleaning cycles, variable temperatures between pasteurisation rooms and ripening chambers, and products with high protein and fat content that require maximum-hygiene belts.
At NFP Industrial we select the most suitable Kunming Conveyor Belt Co., Ltd. belts for each phase of dairy processing: milk reception, pasteurisation, packaging, ripening and dispatch.
Recommended belts for dairy
PU belts for processing lines
The KMB TPU range with standard FDA is the usual choice in dairy plants. The non-porous surface resists the build-up of dairy proteins and makes cleaning between shifts easy. Available in white and blue (detectable for quality control).
- •Resistance to lactic acids and alkaline cleaning solutions
- •Working temperature: -10 °C to +70 °C — covers cold rooms and pasteurisation
- •FDA as standard across the entire KMB TPU range
Homogeneous belts for intensive washdown
ESM (TPO) and SOLID TPU models without internal fabric for areas subjected to pressure water washing two or three times per shift. The absence of textile layers eliminates the risk of contaminant absorption.
- •ESM (TPO): 90 Shore A hardness, FDA, -10 °C to +60 °C
- •SOLID TPU: 93 Shore A hardness, FDA, 2% elongation
- •Compatible with CIP detergents: NaOH, HNO₃, peracetic acid
