Flat transmission belts transfer power between pulleys in industrial machinery: textile machines, printers, production lines, agricultural equipment and processing machinery. Unlike conveyor belts (which move materials), transmission belts drive the machinery itself.
At NFP Industrial we supply transmission belts from Kunming Conveyor Belt Co., Ltd., available in different materials and configurations depending on the power, speed and working conditions.
Available models
| Model | Thickness | Material | Breaking strength | Min. pulley diam. | Temp. (°C) | Friction coeff. |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| K-DND-100 | 1 mm | Polyamide | 90 N/mm | 35 mm | -20 to +90 | 0.2–0.3 |
| K-XNX-100 | 1 mm | Elastomer/rubber | 90 N/mm | 35 mm | -20 to +90 | 0.4–0.6 |
| K-XNX-150 | 1.5 mm | Elastomer/rubber | 165 N/mm | 50 mm | -20 to +90 | 0.4–0.6 |
| K-XNX-220 | 2.2 mm | Elastomer/rubber | 330 N/mm | 70 mm | -20 to +90 | 0.4–0.6 |
| K-XNX-300 | 3 mm | Elastomer/rubber | 400 N/mm | 110 mm | -20 to +90 | 0.4–0.6 |
| K-PNP-450 | 4.5 mm | Tanned leather / Rubber | 400 N/mm | 150 mm | -10 to +80 | 0.6–0.8 |
Available widths: 0 to 300 mm (depending on model).
How to choose the right belt?
- •Power to transmit: Determines the required breaking strength
- •Belt speed: Polyamide belts (K-DND) are better for high speeds with low friction coefficient; elastomer belts (K-XNX) offer greater grip
- •Pulley diameter: Each model has a minimum pulley diameter — if your pulleys are small, you need a thinner and more flexible belt
- •Environmental conditions: Temperature, humidity, oil exposure. The leather belt (K-PNP-450) has the highest friction coefficient but a narrower temperature range
Applications
Belts with lateral profile (side wall belt)
KMB also manufactures PVC lateral profile belts for applications requiring lateral containment and inclined transport.
