Homogeneous belts (also called "monolayer" or "single-material") are made from a single layer of TPU, TPO or TPEE, with no internal textile carcass. This construction eliminates the cross-contamination risks associated with conventional belts — where the internal fabric can absorb liquids, fats or organic residues — and makes them the reference option for food environments with the most demanding hygiene requirements.
At NFP Industrial we supply them through Kunming Conveyor Belt Co., Ltd., which manufactures homogeneous belts in different materials, colors and finishes with FDA certification as standard.
Advantages over conventional belts
- ✓No internal fabric: impossible to contaminate from the inside
- ✓Cleaning with high-pressure water and aggressive chemicals without degradation
- ✓Longer service life in intensive washing applications
- ✓Compliance with IFS, BRC and other food audits
- ✓Visual detection: available in blue to facilitate fragment detection on the production line
Types of homogeneous belts available
ESM belts (TPO — thermoplastic polyolefin)
Very high hardness material (90 Shore A), FDA certification as standard. Available with smooth, CS (crescent), L (line), BP (button) surface. Working temperature: -10 °C to +60 °C. Ideal for food processing requiring high mechanical strength.
| Model | Thickness | Weight | Elongation 1% | Min. roller diam. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ESM100 | 1.1 mm | 1.3 kg/m² | 8 N/mm | 15 mm |
| ESM200 (2 layers) | 2.5–5.0 mm | 2.9–4.5 kg/m² | 12 N/mm | 90 mm |
TPEE belts (thermoplastic polyester)
High hardness material (90 Shore A), FDA certification. Temperature: -30 °C to +110 °C — the widest range in the homogeneous belt range.
PVK belts (low elongation PVC)
Belts with PVC impregnation, 2% elongation, for applications requiring minimal deformation. Models PVK100 and PVK125 with thickness from 3.0 to 4.0 mm. Temperature: -15 °C to +80 °C.
SOLID belts (interwoven PVC/TPU)
Interwoven construction (without separate textile layers), 2% elongation. Available in PVC and TPU with FDA certification (TPU models). Hardnesses from 75 to 93 Shore A. Ideal for low-elongation applications with high hygiene requirements.
| Model | Material | Thickness | Hardness | Elongation 1% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SOLID100 | PVC | 3.4 mm | 80 Shore A | 19 N/mm |
| SOLID120 | PVC | 6.0 mm | 80 Shore A | 22 N/mm |
| SOLID150 (TPU/FDA) | TPU | 5.0–6.0 mm | 93 Shore A | 22 N/mm |
| SOLID200 | PVC | 5.2 mm | 80 Shore A | 28 N/mm |
Applications
Meat processing, industrial fisheries, bakery, pastry, dairy, ready meals, processed vegetables, confectionery, snacks.

NFP Industrial advisory service
Homogeneous belts have a higher cost per meter than a conventional belt, but the TCO (total cost of ownership) is usually lower thanks to their longer service life under intensive washing conditions. As representatives of Kunming Conveyor Belt, we help you calculate that return before making a decision and select the most suitable material (TPU, TPO or TPEE) for your process.
