Rubber conveyor belts are designed for transporting heavy, abrasive or bulk materials in extreme industrial conditions: mining, quarries, cement plants, recycling facilities, ports, steel mills, aggregate plants and power stations.
At NFP Industrial we directly represent Zhejiang Fuda Rubber Co., Ltd., founded in 1989, with a 120,000 m² factory, production capacity of 380 tonnes of rubber compound per day and more than 28 utility patents. Fuda exports to over 60 countries, including the USA, Europe and the Middle East.
Types of rubber belts
Multi-ply belts (multiple textile layers)
The most widely used range in general industry. Construction with a multi-layer textile fabric carcass.
| Type | Warp | Weft | Strength (N/mm) | Width |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EP | Polyester | Nylon | 200–3,780 N/mm (2–6 plies) | 300–2500 mm |
| NN | Nylon | Nylon | 200–3,780 N/mm (2–6 plies) | 300–2500 mm |
| CC | Cotton | Cotton | 112–336 N/mm (2–6 plies) | 300–2500 mm |
| TC | Polyester | Cotton | 140–420 N/mm (2–6 plies) | 300–2500 mm |
Rubber cover: 1.5–30 mm (top), 1.5–20 mm (bottom).
Steel cord belts (ST — Steel Cord)
For long distances, high tensions and deep mining.
| Grade | Strength (N/mm) | Cable diam. | Min. pulley | Width |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ST630 | 630 | 3.0 mm | 500 mm | 800–2400 mm |
| ST1000 | 1,000 | 4.0 mm | 800 mm | 800–2400 mm |
| ST1600 | 1,600 | 5.0 mm | 1,000 mm | 800–2400 mm |
| ST2500 | 2,500 | 7.2 mm | 1,250 mm | 800–2400 mm |
| ST3500 | 3,500 | 8.6 mm | 1,600 mm | 800–2400 mm |
| ST4500 | 4,500 | 9.7 mm | 1,800 mm | 800–2400 mm |
| ST5400 | 5,400 | 11.3 mm | 1,800 mm | 800–2400 mm |
Manufactured to DIN, ISO, RMA, CSA, AS standards.
Other available types
CFW (Crowford Weave)
Special low-elongation fabric, excellent impact resistance. Grades CFW200 to CFW500. Width: 400–2400 mm.
SW (Straight Warp)
High tensile strength, flexibility, low weight. Grades SW400 to SW1000. Width: 800–2000 mm.
Pipe (tubular)
For sealed transport on inclines, without material spillage. High flexibility and large inclination angle.
Sidewall (lateral wall)
For inclined or vertical transport. Vulcanized rubber sidewall skirts. Skirt height: 60–500 mm.
Chevron (V-ribs)
To prevent material slippage on slopes. Rib heights 6–25 mm. Widths 300–1200 mm.
Special belts by resistance
Flame retardant
For underground transport and flammable materials. Complies with MSHA, DIN-EN-14973, CSA-M422-12, SABS, AS4606 and JIS-K-6324.
High temperature
For metallurgy, cement plants and fertilizers. Surface temperature up to 180 °C, peaks up to 300 °C.
Oil resistant
Two grades: MOR (medium resistance) and OR (high resistance to vegetable oils and fats). -30 °C to 70 °C.
Chemical resistant
For chemical plants, fertilizer and paper mills. Resistant to HCl 18%, H2SO4 50% and NaOH 48%.
Cold resistant
For normal operation down to -60 °C. Classes C1 (-45 °C) and C2 (-60 °C).
Rip stop
Steel cord carcass with breakers to prevent longitudinal tearing from sharp objects.
Sensor embedded
Protection system with integrated induction loops. Automatically stops the drive if a foreign object penetrates the belt.
Rubber cover grades
| Grade | Tensile strength (MPa) | Elongation at break (%) | Abrasion (mm³) |
|---|---|---|---|
| L (general use) | ≥ 14.0 | ≥ 350 | ≤ 200 |
| D (high abrasion) | ≥ 18.0 | ≥ 350 | ≤ 160 |
| H (anti-tear) | ≥ 20.0 | ≥ 400 | ≤ 150 |
| T1 (heat up to 100 °C) | ≥ 10.0 | ≥ 350 | ≤ 200 |
| T2 (heat up to 125 °C) | — | — | — |
